Bonython Barn

Bonython Barn, Grampound, sits within the curtilage of Bonython Grange, a Grade II listed property within the heart of the village. Originally believed to have been used as coaching storage to the main house, the barn in recent years had fallen into a state of disrepair to the point of near collapse. In order to make extensive remedial works viable, through close consultation with the conservation team the property was converted into an upside down dwelling with a distinctively contemporary flavour that retains the basic scale and character of the original structure. The result is a three bedroom, two bathroom house with open plan living accommodation above partially within a remodelled cut roof constructed by Dudden Construction.
